Accommodation is located within walking distance of town shops and restaurants, or in more secluded areas including cottages nestled in bushland or a beach house with beautiful sea views. Many visitors choose to shop at the Island's many stores or collect food and wine from local producers and prepare their own meals in their own fully appointed kitchen.
The Island's private caravan parks at the main town of Kingscote and at the entrance to Flinders Chase National Park, provide the highest level of services to guests including cooking facilities, regularly serviced bathrooms and an on-site manager. National Parks offer guests a range of camping options from designated bush camping through to sites with cooking and bathroom facilities. Booking for both private and National Parks are necessary. Kangaroo Island Council manage the remaining campsites outside of National Parks and each site includes basic facilities.
