The main CBD of Adelaide is where you can go out at night and enjoy some great night spots, clubs, and bars, watch a band, or listen to a touring DJ. There are restaurants, chic cafes, and al fresco dining spots that line the streets that offer tastes from across the globe and a vibrant atmosphere that just buzzes. During the day there are hundreds of shops, retail outlets, the Rundle Street Mall to browse through, and interesting markets that are on every day where you can find anything and everything.

You can visit Hahndorf the last remaining German settlement in Australia that is located in the Adelaide Hills, take a scenic drive through the countryside, or visit one of the historic wineries in the Barossa Valley. From food and wine tours, romantic dining, and a number of cellar doors to visit you can easily fill in a couple of days exploring the Barossa Valley or perhaps you might like to drive a little further onto Clare Valley where you will also find many more wineries to visit.

There is kiteboarding and surfing at the beaches, swimming, fishing, and diving to be enjoyed as well! You can take the kids to one of the many beaches along the shores of Adelaide or even visit Victor Harbour where you can quite easily spend the day, at the amusement park, riding the rides, swimming, going on a tram ride, taking a horse-drawn carriage ride across to Granite Island or enjoying the sights. Back in Adelaide, if you are staying in the city you can jump on the famous tram which will take you right into the heart of Glenelg where there is even more shopping, nightspots, and dining or you can wander along the boardwalk at the marina precinct or have a picnic in the foreshore parklands.

You can go rock climbing and abseiling while you are in Adelaide, play a round of golf or two, join up to a cooking class where your culinary skills will be put to the test or just indulge yourself with a pampering session at one of the day spas. From catching a movie at the cinemas, to taking the family to the Adelaide Zoo or visiting Victoria Park, you can fill up your days with so many activities when in Adelaide. Watch a main game of AFL, see the V8 supercars race, or watch the aerobatic stunts of the Redbull aeroplanes.

With cruises along the Torrens River, whether it be for sightseeing, lunch, or dinner, to cycling the walk along the river or enjoying an easy walk along the banks, there are a number of ways for you to see the Torrens River. Families can enjoy cycling around the city and along many kilometres of bike tracks in and around the city and everyone will love the range of outdoor activities as well as indoor activities.
