What to expect

Your guide collects you from your Adelaide hotel early morning. The drive to Barossa Valley takes roughly 90 minutes through rolling South Australian countryside. At each of two wineries, you'll taste premium Shiraz directly with the winemakers or cellar staff, learning production methods and regional characteristics. Lunch arrives at a third venue with paired wines. Afternoon driving shifts focus to Eden Valley's cooler climate vineyards and the Adelaide Hills. By mid-afternoon you reach Hahndorf, a 1840s settlement built by Lutheran refugees. Spend one to two hours browsing heritage buildings, tasting German pastries, and browsing local galleries and craft shops at your own pace before the return journey.
