About this tour
Pedal through South Australia's Adelaide Hills wine region on an electric bike, stopping at working farms and cellar doors. This five-hour guided ride connects you with local producers—sip wines at two established vineyards, pick berries at Beerenberg (when in season), and sample cheese from a working dairy. The flat terrain and e-bike assistance mean fitness levels don't matter; you're here to taste and explore at a leisurely pace.
Highlights
- Wine flights at Shaw and Smith vineyard
- Tastings at The Lane Vineyard
- Seasonal strawberry picking at Beerenberg Farm
- Cheese board from Udder Delights dairy
- Electric bikes with pannier bags for purchases
- Local guide familiar with the region
What to expect
You'll meet your guide and get fitted to an e-bike equipped with storage bags for bottles and produce. The ride meanders between properties rather than following busy roads, with breaks built in at each stop. At Shaw and Smith you'll taste a flight of their current releases; The Lane offers different vintages to try. If strawberries are growing, you'll pick your own. The cheese board comes ready to eat, often paired with your wine purchases. Bring cash or card for any extras—the picnic lunch isn't included, though most stop for food somewhere along the route.
Good to know
Not suitable if you have spinal injuries, are pregnant, or have cardiovascular concerns. Coffee and tea are provided. Public transport is nearby if you need an exit. Best visited during strawberry season (November–April) for the picking experience.
