What to expect
You'll start with a glass of wine and watch the instructors break down the day's menu. Then you'll tie on an apron and get stuck into actual cooking, working alongside other participants in an intimate kitchen setup. The instructors will guide you through each step. Once your dish is ready, everyone moves to a long communal table where you'll eat what you've all made together, swapping bites and stories. The whole experience runs about three and a half hours total, ending with printed recipes to take home.
Good to know
Public transport stops nearby. Service animals welcome. Bring comfortable kitchen shoes and be prepared to stand for most of the session. The pace is relaxed—this isn't competitive; it's about learning and enjoying food with strangers who'll feel like mates by lunch.
