What to expect
Your guide will collect you from your Adelaide or McLaren Vale location and drive you between three hand-picked wineries. Each stop includes a tasting of their current releases—how many glasses depends on the winery—and a chance to chat with the producers if they're around. Mid-tour, you'll visit the d'Arenberg Cube, a striking angular building housing wine exhibits and art installations (entry and the Dalí exhibition cost extra). Around midday, you'll settle into lunch at one of the wineries with views across their rows of vines. The pace is relaxed; there's no rushing between stops.
Good to know
Tasting fees vary by winery and are paid directly on arrival—many are deductible from any wine you buy. The lunch platter is included but wine or tastings during lunch are additional. You'll need a minimum of four people for the tour to run. Wear comfortable shoes for walking between cellar buildings.
