About this tour
Depart by helicopter from the Barossa Valley and sweep north over Jacob's Creek, Tanunda and Nuriootpa to land at the Wheatsheaf Hotel near Allendale. Settle in for lunch and a drink with the pub's owners, and possibly encounter a local horseman who arrives on film-star steeds. The return flight traces a scenic route past Kapunda's historic landmarks—including Australia's most haunted pub and the famous Map the Miner sculpture—before heading back to base. Three and a half hours total.

What to expect
You'll board a helicopter at the Barossa helipad and climb north across vineyard country and valley terrain. After landing at Allendale, the pub's team will greet you and you'll order from the standard menu with your first drink included. The atmosphere is relaxed—locals drop by, and there's a fair chance a horseman with movie-trained animals will join the gathering. You can interact with the horses and chat over a beer. Once you've eaten, you'll return to the helicopter for a scenic flight home, taking in historic towns and curiosities from above.
Good to know
Weight limits apply: max 130kg per person, 270kg combined for three passengers. Not suitable if you have cardiovascular concerns. Your own transfers to and from the helipad aren't included. Additional drinks beyond the welcome one are available at the bar.
